A team of Professionals runs the fleet from its Head Quarters in Leer, Germany, divided into a Ship management, including Technical Department and QHSE Departments, Commercial, Financial and HR Department.

As a Second Engineer, you will be responsible for helping the Chief Engineer in respect of all works on board in order to arrange satisfactory technical condition of ship’s engine, hull and all technical devices. As detailed by the Chief Engineer, you will participate in required engine duties, which includes but is not limited to watch-keeping, maintenance of the vessel’s machinery, control of engine room working hours and the maintenance of a log of the supply and on board use of hazardous chemicals and substances. As the Deputy of the Chief Engineer you ensure, that he is fully informed about all ongoing at any time, you will promote a good communication and co-operation amongst crew members and ensure, that the crew in the engine room is fully familiar with the safety aspects of the vessel.

As a candidate for the Second Engineer, you have the following attributes:

  • Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (A-III/2)
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Second Engineer on board Offshore DP2 Vessels
  • DP Maintainer Certificate
  • Extensive winch driving experience during AH and towing operations
  • All sea-related certificates up to date
  • Lead in safety and well aware of stop-the-job authority
  • Understand and maintain a PTW, RA, JSA and Tool box talk system
  • Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems
  • Wide experience in MAN / MAK / Bergen
  • Familiar with maintenance of deck cranes (store cranes, anchor handling cranes and winches)
  • Familiar with different propulsion systems
  • Able to delegate and supervise engine room duties, planned and unplanned
  • English language fluency
